In the spirit of community, Plates to Purpose endeavors to improve the issue of food waste by salvaging delectable sustenance that would otherwise be thrown away by local restaurants. With close collaboration between our organization and local restaurants, we
seek to collect and redistribute surplus food to individuals and families in need. Our ultimate objective is to create a positive impact on the community while simultaneously curtailing the prevalence of food waste.
Let us band together, in solidarity, and address the issue of food insecurity that plagues our society.

My name is Grace and I go to Southlake Carroll High School. I started a baking business called the Graceful Whisk Bakery, which can be found on Facebook. I sell custom decorated cupcakes and cakes that come in many different flavors. I have been baking for my entire life and I love to be creative when decorating desserts! I was inspired to start my business after reading Candace Nelson’s book, Sweet Success, which talks about how she started the cupcake bakery called Sprinkles.

My name is Riya Shah, and I am the founder and owner of KaarigaRiya Crafts. I create personalized gifts primarily out of epoxy resin, wood, glass, canvas, acrylic, and vinyl. Bollywood Dance Club and Dungeons & Dragons Club

BDC: Carroll High School's Bollywood Dance Club offers an immersive experience where students can embrace the energy, grace, and captivating rhythms of Indian music and cinema through the art of dance. The club strives to share the beauty of Bollywood and showcase a mix of other dance styles such as Bhangra, Kathak, and Bharatanatyam! BDC welcomes students of all experience levels and dance abilities and can't wait to perform at Diwalifest, Culturefest, and pep rallies!

D&D Club: Carroll High School's Dungeons and Dragons Club is designed for students to embark on thrilling adventures, build friendships, and unleash their creativity within the fantastical world of tabletop RPGs. Founded by Swati Shankar, the club aims to create an inclusive community within the school where students can develop critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills all while making unforgettable memories!
